  •  1 1/2 tablespoons corn oil. 
  •  1/4 cup vermicelli. 
  •  1 cup Egyptian rice. 
  •  Salt. 
  •  1 3/4 cup water.

  1.  In a pot over a medium heat put the heated oil.
  2.  Put the vermicelli in the oil and keep stirring for 3-5 minutes.
  3.  Remove the pot from the heat, then put the rice and salt on the vermicelli, and stir the mixture well.
  4.  Lower the temperature, then stir the rice frequently for 3-5 minutes.
  5.  In another pot on a high heat put the water to a boil.
  6.  Put boiling water on the rice, then cover the pot.
  7.  Leave the rice on the stove for 10 minutes, so that the rice absorbs the water.
  8.  Remove the pot from the stove, then leave the rice for 5 minutes before serving.
  9.  Put the rice in serving dishes and serve hot.
